Video del "Perrito" (Himantopus mexicanus)

THROUGH THE LENS:
BLACK-NECKED STILT

Descripción: The elegant Black-necked Stilt balances atop the longest legs in the bird world (relative to body size). When these boldly marked shorebirds flock together, the geometry of their bodies approaches the artistic. Just watch how these Black-necked Stilts avoid a predatory Northern Harrier, providing refuge for some ducks at the same time, in this video from Louisiana by Cornell Lab photographer Gerrit Vyn.
